Tecboy -

Nice pic, but the rugrat's is better!! <vbg>

I came home last Fri to find that my little black pearl, Ebony, had been injured, probably by a car. Went to vet and the xrays showed that two ribs were completely severed and one was broken off or buried internally.

Vet said she had a punctured lung, ruptured diaphragm and possible liver injuries. He said there were, basically, three options: 1) $3K surgery to see if anything could be done; 2) tight wrap with little chance of positive outcome; or, 3) euthanasia.

Even though she's been part of our family for 12-13 yrs, we could not choose to spend $3K to see if there was any hope and went for the wrap. She's doing better and maybe we did the right thing - should know in about 2 months.
