PCCW Firm Opens Satellite Internet Exchange -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hong Kong's World Master Resources (WMR), a five-party international JV to provide broadband Internet access and multimedia content delivery via satellite, began operations today (3/13). WMR brings together the expertise, funds and resources of major communications players to create a Internet satellite streaming infrastructure, for delivery of multimedia content throughout Greater China. The new company is a Pacific Century CyberWorks (PCCW) Corporate Access satellite services incubation project. WMR has signed PCCW (Hong Kong's giant Internet and telecommunications carrier) as its first customer.
