As someone who is part Cherokee (and Chippewa) I don't take kindly to being dissed by Mohawks. I don't know what the Mohawk guys have got that they are so proud of. We were reading and writing (and owning slaves) while they were still painting themselves blue, so to speak. As for getting it on - French people got it all over the rest of the world, get over it. (I am more Cajun than anything else.) (And I am pushing 50 so am just an observer in this, I'm out of the race.)
