Yes I'm thinking shorter term. How else can one think in todays markets.

Big picture wise the Northwest is very dry this year. Washington declared a drought emergency yesterday. Oregon will not be far behind. We need 1/2 of an inch of rain per day for a over a month to catch up on our needed rain totals. One interesting note is that Astoria on the north Oregon coast is 22 inches of rain below normal. That's a lot of rain.

Why worry about this you say? Well the entire west coast depends up our hydro power. If we are unable to generate it with water than I'm betting were going to have to use some natural gas. Gas prices should hit their low in the next month or so and then start climbing as players look to the summer. IMO

Douglas Vant passed along this link once it covers a the water levels kind of interesting:http://www.usbr.gov/main/watersupply.html

The ENE I bought eariler this week has return to life. MIR just announced earnings that are 3 times above expectations. One might play a little in this sector for a trade over the next week or so. DUK comes to mind. ENE because it's so oversold.

Anyway I'm bullish longer term we just may struggle over the next couple months. And as you say if the overall market tanks we're all $crewed.
