Penn just had a fellow win a silver in wrestling at the Sydney games. Brown, Yale, Princeton and mighty Columbia (155 pounders, at least) will vie for rowing honors this spring (although UC-Berkeley will have a big say). I plan to go to the Princeton-Columbia 155 boat race 2 weeks from Saturday. And Princeton is always a force in lacrosse.

But, you're right. Columbia does seem to go after cello players, rather than linebackers, which is why we usually bring up the rear in football. We didn't get Drew Brees, but we did land Sean Lennon. Unfortunately, Sean couldn't run a spread offense.

When I was a student, the physics department was lousy with Nobel Prize winners (Polykarp Kusch and "Black Jack" Steinberg), although Jack won his later while he was working in Switzerland. He did win "Ugliest Man on Campus", though. I would have whooped him, but Ben Stein beat me in the semi-finals<g>. We're talking seriously ugly here.
