I mean something very simple: I acknowledge that human nature is corrupt, and we are all prone to transgress from time to time. What do you think Original Sin means, except an explanation for the corruption of human nature. Inherited guilt? In some versions, but I would prefer to say inherited corruption. I admit, I suspect that humanity began in a better condition, and that the misuse of freedom introduced trouble into its situation, but I am not keen to speculate about details. In other words, I think it possible that the Fall has some underlying basis, even if it is expressed as a folk tale........
