UF, I shall limit my response to your post to avoid repetition.

In fact, that perception has been the only reason I've continued to argue with you

The catalyst for my criticisms of you were your one-sided attacks on Poet. The flawed investment approach on your thread and your "shortcomings" were neither here nor there until that occurred.

Re your throwing caution to the winds on the issue of over-valuation you said You might want to reflect on that accusation. It's unnecessarily contentious and untrue

I suspect that you have forgotten some of your posts made during those "heady" days when nothing could stop your "gorillas" but if you would like me to find a couple of your posts on the subject, I shall do so. For now, you might wish to re-read a post on your thread. An excerpt from it:

Substancep: We are new to Gorilla Gaming. Every G&K company on this board's lists except MSFT and INTC have P/E ratios greater than or equal to 100.

Uncle Frank: I think you need to decide if you want to be a value investor or a Gorilla gamer. If it's the latter, stop reading articles about investing techniques and start searching for great investments

Re Poet you said: The point of disagreement is whether decisions on specific incidents should be reached through the court of public opinion or by SI's administrators. Your characterization of my personal preference for the latter approach as hypocrisy is unfortunate

You are being evasive, uf; my issue is that you chose to chastise Poet for her breach of protocol and yet you were silent about her detractors who were guilty of something far more egregious that maligned her character and reputation and sought to inflict harm on her relationship with her husband. It would have been more balanced had you said something like "Poet, it is inappropriate for you to post private messages on a public board. If the private messages that you posted are, in fact, accurate I am appalled and condemn the actions of your detractors."

Still not too late to do it, uf!

I wish you well, and hope that 2001 turns out to be a year of substantial recovery for your portfolio.
