Seconds -- Given GMGC's recent "personality" patent award, this sure seems like a natural fit for them. From GMGC's 12/4/00 press release:

"The patent encompasses several important features for voice user interface design that enable General Magic to develop voice applications which display social and emotional characteristics, making them friendly, engaging and easy to use, and greatly improving the level of customer service that can be delivered by an automated phone system."
