(just my opinion and guess)

The first article that Laodeng linked, in Chinese, is probably an officially authorized and fed story to the China "approved" news service.

I assume we will be seeing more re-re-reports of that story, such as the chinaonline version which is probably no more than a summarized translation. Each one of these articles, which no doubt will be posted here over and over again, would be progressively more inaccurate.
