Dan, I don't see why you should be taking ANY delight in the possibility that Rambus execs could spend time in jail. First of all, that shows no class on your part. Second, the jail time theory would seem a little far-fetched, even to AMDroids like yourself, I suppose.

But most of all, this could serve as an ugly precedent. It could weaken all IP-only companies, from small start-ups to bigger companies like Qualcomm. The details of the Rambus case might be unique and not applicable to other IP companies, but you never know. For example, Intel could go after the lawyer shysters who bought patents from a failing company, then tried to extort Intel for money. I'm sure there are many other possibilities that could occur as a result of the outcome of Rambus' case. And they aren't pretty.
