i agree, for several reasons. the main one is, the gold stocks are NOT confirming the weakness in the metal...yes, they have come down a bit, but not as much as one would expect if the move were for real. secondly, the comms tend to build huge long positions every time we are in the 260 area...that tells me we have a pretty strong floor there.
and lastly, there is no way we can confirm what the BoE says is true...they could tell us anything they like. there's already a rumor (likewise unconfirmed of course) that the subscription rate was much higher in reality. also, i'd like to see them settle in bullion, which it appears they are not really doing. they're shuffling paper.
