Glenn, I'm the type that likes to give credit where credit is due. I think its safe to say William Harmond first brought eBay to this thread...a true success story, I have to admit.
Here's a recent BW interview with eBays CEO Meg Whitman who I consider to be one of the best CEO's in America.

James,

I can't recall who really was the first to bring Ebay to this thread. If you say it was William, that likely is true. I also believe Meg's comments about Amazon to be accurate. The problem is I do not see Amazon hiring people to do this "But I think a lot of blocking and tackling, heavy lifting--Old Economy skills--are going to be required to ultimately make money there." I also believe it is now too late for that.

Bill has a lot of good picks although due to overvaluation during the mania, they look like garbage comparitively. William also has losers. It seesm to be William's style to to play high risk/reward firms. It is clear that style is not for many of us.

On a side note, I truly believe Yahoo could do really well if they market their services correctly. Their services are better than AOL's or MSN's regarding the portal aspect. The problem is they are not marketing properly in my opinion to the right audience that is willing to pay.

So who do I see about the CEO job? <G> I grinned but in a way I am serious.
