tim, shorting is extremely risky and requires even more discipline - much more - than managing your long positions.

hindsight is great, but i know folks who were DEAD RIGHT on fundamentals and lost millions shorting and overvalued turd of a net stock.

shorting isn't bad, but you better not let it run or it can run you over in a *painful* way.

buying puts - in na disciplined system - is another way to play the game down side.
