This seems to be a hard pill to swallow for people. I can understand how desperate circumstances can drive people to a host of things. This rings hollow with some. It doesn't seem like too much of an extrapolation to suggest that inferior living conditions in the Third World serve to drive extremism. After all, if there is nothing for you in this world, why not go for the next with a "bang".
