Without Schmidt you wouldn't have eDirectory nor would you have a company focused on directory sales

Some of you have forgotten what really drove this company down --- the fall-off in channel sales of Netware. Five years ago I warned what would happen if Novell lost the small business segment of its business, I called it the 40% solution.

Two years ago we had a marketing VP who thought Netware was on a comeback to retake the LAN market from MSFT. They were supposed to do that without an applications server. Remeber Slitz.

Without Eric this company would have not developed all of the products that it did develop and would have gone down the drain in the second quarter of 97. You would have been looking at a $5 stock back then.

Alot of investors in Novell are behaving like lemmings, running toward the cliff that MSFT has prepared for them.

Without Schmidt Novell has no strategy for the future. With Schmidt the problem became execution and still is execution. What do you do when your sales force doesn't know how to sell directory products and the VP of Sales doesn't care?

So you tell me where your frustration is coming from --- logic or emotion?
