i think there may be another rotation within tech coming...noticed some buying has emerged in the big telcos, and some tech sub-sectors look really washed out ST. have lots of sentiment and oscillator measures indicating oversold extremes, but a pre/post FOMC ramp will cure that quickly imo. and then there's the ugly NYA, and the toppy looking sub-sectors within it...
also, the sentiment front isn't really unequivocal...after all, the specs had a record long position in the futures just prior to the most recent downswing, and call OI is still more than double put OI (all CBOE options)...you can see e.g. that the OI configuration on index puts is now exactly the reverse of what it was during the bull market.
the PVI (put vol. indicator) after giving a buy signal yesterday, has promptly collapsed again (and it frequently spikes in expiration week due to hedge roll-overs).
also, we still are lacking in capitulation...that's not to say it has to happen NOW, but it WILL happen.

here's hoping for an FOMC induced shortable bounce...
