Jmac, as you know in the real world of law and trials, judges are very, very careful not to take the place of the jury in a jury trial. The judge will rule on issues of law, the jury will deal with fact. For a judge to issue a summary judgement on a case as complex as this, when there appear to be real, and I mean real, questions of fact about the JEDEC participation, powerful dueling experts, the strength of Rambus' patents (as evidenced by existing licensees) against technical claims of the opposition......the whole fud of the last twenty-four hours made totally no sense to me. None So, who benefited by what happened today?
