Hello Tom,
Since I've got a funny feeling you'll get no answer from Voltaire, I want to tell you that I appreciate your posting the link and your take on the Rambus situation. FWIW, I think this is the first time that a post from this thread has actually been referred to in a positive light over on the CFZ.
Here's Voltaire's latest missive, to his fans, his detractors, and those of us on this thread who continue to gather and ask for his honesty:

Well gang,
there comes a time when one must let go of the rope. I have held as long as I could with RMBS but as much as I believe you don't fight the Fed, there is another dynamic that from a stress standpoint I refuse to fight and that is FUD. I am not saying that the news on RMBS today was total FUD but I do know it will not end with todays UNCONFIRMED report. At any rate that is beside the point - The FUD if that is what it turns out to be is stronger than my pocket book. Given the choice of money or stresslessness, I always choose the latter. Just went to Waffle House and took inventory of all that I have and I am staggered by what I have been blessed with.
So while this has not been the best day of my life, I felt it was only fair to allow my detractors at least an evening of joy, no reason for someone not to get a thrill out of it. Like I have said before, Mouthing Off Is Inversely Proportional to How Accountable One Is and that goes for yours truly and there is no reason not to make a few people smile a lot tonight. To them I simply say, enjoy it and I mean it sincerely, things will get better. I have always enjoyed Shock Value even if it is on me.
Vster at least trying to smile at himself
BTW - STILL FEEL RMBS WILL PREVAIL AND THEIR TECHNOLOGY WILL BECOME THE STANDARD. |
