Heinz, after a 1000 point plunge on the Nikkei, a rally is not surprising in the least. Won't last long, the last rig jobs were only believable in the context of an overall prosperous world economy. That is decidedly not the case now. The Japanese will actually have to DO something credible this time. Imo that something will be nothing short of an RTC style bank bailout - promises don't mean jack right now. Imo such a bailout will only prevent bank runs. They will NOT stimulate the Japanese economy. They will not induce a sudden spurt of consumer spending in Japan.

Imo Japan will see a major political revolution before this is all over. Only after same will Japan represent a true MOABO.
