Has anyone noticed what is going on at biotech Yahoo threads? For years, I've only followed a few threads. However, when NBIX, ABSC, INCY, MLNM, etc. took such substantial downside hits last week, I started to look around.
There are fear mongers everywhere. They don't know squat about the companies that they've shorted. The world is ending, the Dow is going to 3,000, etc., etc.
How long has this been going on? Is this activity ass'd with hedge funds, or are these guys/gals the new breed of momentum traders, hedge fund manager wannabes?
Where do they come from? Are there still marauding daytrader rooms in existence? What the heck is happening? |
