Elmer, The whole event (release of 1 GHz notebook CPU by Intel) is just a reaction to AMD. Since AMD 1 GHz mobile CPU is not happening, I wonder why do it? Intel management knows well that the real 1 GHz notebook CPU will be the .13u Toiletin based one not the one they are releasing. I have 2 possible reasons: 1. Intel management is very insecure. They continue to play the PR game rather than switch to honesty. They do something in order to look like they are doing something. 2. The real McCoy has problems. It will not be here in Q2, and it is falling well into Q3. This would give AMD too much time to steal the limelight with the real thing, so Intel has to try to string everyone along with this fake.
