MM, my grandmother bought a house for $800 in the 20's - it's still standing. I don't know what it is worth but I'll guess $200k. I will have to elaborate my points later that RE has been fueled , in part, by by transient forces. In the late 60s - early 70s waterfront property was dirt cheap in my town - now it is obscenely priced. Mike
