Re: Iowa State as a poor choice as No. 2 seed: If Tinsley, the best point guard in the nation, hits the driving layup with 1 second left, ISU survives Hampton. Kid for Georgetown made his driving layup with 1 second left to beat Arkansas, Tinsley missed his. Problem with the Cyclones was they lost to Baylor in the 2nd round of the Big 12 tourney, then never got their fire back. I think their choice as No. 2 seed was valid, based on their winning the Big 12. A bigger seeding snafu, in my opinion, was Indiana as a No. 4. Heck, Missouri beat 'em in Bloomington and Missouri was a No. 9. As usual, the tournament selection committee gave much more weight to the Big 10 than logic dictated. One could really make a case this year for taking an extra team or two from Conference USA and the Atlantic 10.
