It is fine to not treat it as normal, but not so fine to make a bad situation less tolerable without actual social harm. Also, I do not depend upon a genetic argument, but mention later causes of defect as well. Yes, they could refrain from homosexual acts, even if so oriented, but no one would suffer such deprivation absent a strong religious scruple. And while it it true that we would cure blindness if we could, by and large that is beyond our knowledge, and we simply make provision to ease the suffering of the afflicted.
