I of course could have profited hugely from the "bubble" had I heeded the warnings and cashed out...and your voice was certainly among the very sane ones that I should have heeded.
As it is, I am just now finally realizing that the market does what it pleases and it is folly to go against it.
It sounds so simple but it took me all this time...success doing the wrong thing is dangerous, isn't it?
Luckily I'm not wiped out, and hope to slowly build back through very small gains.
That said, how do you decide that a stock has been beaten up enough? What is the signals to you that LU at 10 or MOT at 13 or 14 or Dell at whatever it was...17 I think...are acceptable trading ranges? And what tells you to get out once you are in a trade? And where do you put your stops, mental or otherwise?
