I think the market bottomed because deflation abated. There was a massive deflation that
took place between 1929 and 1931. I can't tell you why the deflation ended but was probably
due to the fact that the inventory was finally worked off. Lots of businesses into bankruptcy
including farms and manufacturers so supply and demand was again in balance (more or less).
