Venezuelan Rainforests? If you read MCD's Annual Report, you'll find (I think) that they do not sell to their franchises the food that they serve. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. They do specify the *standards* for the ingredients, and may certify as "OK" suppliers of meat, breads, etc.

It strikes me as simplistic to attribute to MCD poor farming economics in Venezuela, when very little of MCD's meat comes from that country (If ANY). I'd appreciate learning the source of the story you'd heard about MCD and the rainforest, and any statistics you might have as to the amount of meat used by MCD franchises that originate anywhere in Venezuela, as opposed to the US, Canada, Brazil or Australia, for example.
