On Oct. 3rd in post 3068, you told me you were thinking of shorting JDSU, what did I think?
My reply as in post 3069 on Oct 4th was as follows: "OT to John, re JDSU, fairly large top in place, stock has penetrated its 50ma and 200 ma on the downside. I would prefer to short on rally towards 95-100, with support now around 75. Looks to be decent short candidate IF techs continue to decline. However, there is a history of tech bottoms in Oct so be careful. Phil" (This turned out to be excellent advice. According to the chart, JDSU was in the low 80's in early October, but later in the month it rallied up to 105, giving you the great shorting opportunity that I predicted.)
In post 3134 on October 25th, I noted that JDSU had dropped 30 points in the last two trading days and I asked you if you had shorted it. I also stated that we were in a nasty bear market which reminded me more and more of the 1974 bear. (I am still saying that.)
In post 3135 on October 25th, you responded that you had not shorted it because friends in the Investment Community had talked you out of it.
Just setting the record straight, Phil |
