"The futures market predicts a 4.815% fed funds rate in April, which implies that traders anticipate at least a 50 basis point cut to 5.0% by the end of March. Given this half-percentage point cut, there is now a 74% chance that the Fed will cut rates 75 basis points to 4.75% by the end of March. ... The fed funds rate is expected to average 4.395% in July, which implies that traders anticipate at least four more rate cuts to 4.5% by the June 26/27 FOMC meeting, and a 42% chance of a fifth rate cut to 4.25%.

The most likely scenario according to the futures market is now 100 basis points in additional rate cuts in the first half and a fed funds rate of 4.50% by July."
