I work with an individual, five or so years younger than I, who has as his third law - "Trust no one" - my experience in life substantiates his third law - yet I believe one can trust - as you point out "One can take that sort of thing and dump it right on the caring, feeling, steps of the Democrats who crafted it, and someone will" - allows me for a couple of minutes to believe I can trust someone, even if it's via a reverse occurrence, because I also believe as you state "One can take that sort of thing and dump it right on the caring, feeling, steps of the Democrats who crafted it, and someone will" - I couldn't have stated it that clearly, yet I do trust they will respond as you indicate.
