Bwaaa ha ha ha

You're being a real jerk today.

I've made the best adjustments I can under the circumstances. I've gotten my first automatic. Every car I ever had was a stick but the shoulder harness problem is worse when I sit close enough to get the clutch down so now I can sit with the seat all the way back, which helps some, although I'm barely touching the pedals. [I had a Nissan 380ZX for ten years and a 280Z for ten years before that. Nissan offers extenders, which I used.]

I tried buying a front seat belt assembly from Acura and manufacturing my own extender. They have the thing designed that you can't piece one together. And the back seat belts, which could be cut into an extender, have a different size tongue and won't fit the front seat belt buckle. Acura has done everything to make it impossible to get an extender.

I've bought and tried every adjustment gizmo around. Have a trunk full of the. I use a little plastic clip that redirects the angle of the harness. Can't remember what it's called. I have no idea what that little clip will do in an accident. There are no studies on them and NHTSA hasn't looked at the gizmos. Acura has disowned me because I use the clip.

Yes, I wear seatbelts. Always have since they started putting them on cars. But the seat belt law and regulations and implementation suck. If the government is going to mandate them

The only other thing I can do is buy a new car from a company that offers extenders. Most of them do. I don't know why Honda's legal department is so intractable on this. I really like my car. I went to a lot of trouble to get that exact one. It's three years old and has only 10K miles. Rides like a dream. It would cost me a lot to replace it. Shouldn't have to. The seat belt law is supposed to work for me, not against me.
