Mark: some of us have "disappeared" because we expected some study results last November (1996) and because their last quarter was so bad as compared to last Spring... If the study is positive with the control patient not having too much of a placebo effect (in every trial we can expect a placebo effect) then this will definitively take off in a big way. As stated in a previous post, I am afraid that the placebo group will have some major benefits too and for the following three reasons: a) "pure placebo effect" (one should feel good being taken care off by "specialists" for 6 weeks, and experiencing mild leg and butt massages for one hour a day) b) I have expressed the concern that this mild inflation in the placebo group might in fact "bring blood back to the heart", on the venous side, thereby not improving coronary flow directly, bu exercising the heart midly (just a guess here, no hard literature or evidence on that) c) and what is really much more concerning to me, the "spontenous improvement of angina" in many patients... In conlusion, I am sure that the treated group will show the same great results as in previous publications... but what will the placebo group show? did VASO enrolled enough patients???? Personnally, I understand EECP and believe that EECP works very well, BUT the delay in the study has made me rethink the PLACEBO group, which, unfortunetaly, is looming big on the horizon. That is why I follow this stock, and that's why I am no longer invested (for now)... some of my friend still are, though... A few more months and we will know. At least the smallcaps are going up, maybe that will help VASO move up a bit. Gaston BTW: some have hyped the stock in the past (last Spring) with comments like "sure it will get to 12.. no...20... somebody even said 40 if I remember correctly... Price targets, without solid T/A is pure hype... |
