Re : P/E Not wanting to be a trader, I have been looking for a more stable portfolio like this one with yields higher than bonds.. Too bad SI portfolio wont show the details, but one can transfer the list to a Yahoo portfolio and see the P/E's and dividends. (many pay 8% dividends) and with P/E's of ~10 to 20. Samples P/E =14, 13,19,20,12,17,13,14,10,14 Sample dividends % 8,9,8,10,8.5,7.6.,8,12,8.4 siliconinvestor.com These have performed well since the beginning of 2000 (end of the tech revolution)G. Because of the limited lifespan of tech stock innovations, and the fact most pay no dividends, I dont believe the average tech stock should carry much higher P/E's despite the fact some may have much greater potential gains after the Nas stops going down and after the economy stabilizises.
