With the life cycle of tech companies (CAP) shortening due to the rapid acceleration of technological innovation, then tech investing is becoming increasingly more difficult and risky all the time. Even if you buy a great tech company at what you think is a fair price with a margin of safety, you have to be constantly on the watch for the next disruptive innovation that will wreak havoc with the cash flow assumptions you initially used to make the investment.
