I'm assuming (without going through all the filings) that RAD still owns 14% of DSCM? Any opinions on whether or not this will be a viable company? I see Amazon has a large stake in them. From RAD's filing, I take it they don't anticipate much of a recovery?
"Impairment of Drugstore.com. The company has an investment in the common stock of drugstore.com, which is accounted for under the equity method. The initial investment was valued based upon the initial public offering price of drugstore.com. During the second and third quarters of fiscal 2001, the company recorded an impairment of its investment in drugstore.com. This write- down was based on a decline in the market value of drugstore.com's stock that the company believes to be other-than-temporary." Any opinions? Will the investment gain back some value,so as to be disposed of down the road, proceeds going to debt reduction..TIA for any thoughts..DD
