You are totally right, and it shocks me how resistant I've been to the simple techniques you taught last December in your online class. Or rather, I should say, how erratic I've been. And in retrospect how much capital it would've preserved had I known this stuff a year ago: Mike's point about getting stopped out at NAZ 4400 & avoid all this pain...

The lessons are slowly sinking in, though. For instance, watching rmbs drop like a stone out of the apex of its triangle, in the old days I'd have been tempted to buy it at 16 "Geez its so cheap and still will make a profit as a company even if this decision goes against it"...But "cheap" is a subjective decision based on previous trading range, and I'm now aware of that. Moreover, I finally have the discipline to wait and watch, until something bases and recovers and retests and then you can enter if you wish

Which means I'm not doing much at all! Since I haven't learned to short yet, what is there to do lately? :-)
