Is there a large fundamental difference in watching the VIX during a market top vs. a bottom?? I am looking for the pop over only 40, characteristic of last April's numbers, where the NAZ topped and was tanking thru panic selling. Is this fundamentally wrong?

The one year VIX chart certainly looks good to me for it to continue it's upward trend. The last two days were pretty bullish, imo. MACD looks especially good.

I don't expect a return to the bull either. In my call buys I am looking very ST. I am hoping for a sustainable rally to 2,150 and a return to a 2,000-2,150 trading range over the summer on the COMP. I can't see a sustainable rally to 2,800 or so without it being earnings driven.

Or until the next "new, new thing" comes along.
