Cheeky,

I looked through the Powerquest links you posted and only came across this one reference to network images pertaining to Drive Image 4.0:

DRIVE IMAGE SINGLE USER LICENSE
Drive Image may be used only in connection with a hard drive(s) that is permanently connected to ONE specific computer owned or leased by you.

Does that answer my question about saving images to hard drives on a network? I'm not sure.

Here are the specifics of what I want to do. I'm buying a new computer to replace one of two that are networked. The new computer will have 2 amply sized hard drives (40 or 60gb) but the old one will have no space available to save images since it only has a 2.1gb drive. I would like to be able to save a backup image from the old computer to one of the 2 new hard drives on the new computer through the network. I don't know if the software will allow me to save an image to a drive on the network or if it only allows images to be stored locally.

Drive Image Pro would easily do what I want. Actually it's overkill for me. The price is also overkill, whereas Drive Image is reasonably priced. I'm not a Network Administrator. I just have two computers tied together.
