charts can be made to look anyway you wish. This basic chart strips all adjustments out to show that over the long haul the Dow has never exceeded 1,000 until recently. (is there a "new paradigm" ?) so take the chart for what it is, a warning.

if you're not pleased with long historical charts that aren't adjusted, just look at a recent chart
