OK, enough of all the off topic posts and time for some questions.

I assume all of you by now have read and thoroughly analyzed the White Report released yesterday.

qualcomm.com

With such overwhelming cost advantage, why is there any doubt as to which technology should be the 3G of choice?

It certainly appears to us that the global migration to 3G, even for 1x, is moving along at snail pace. Is it possible that QC got tired of the waiting game and once again decided to take on the challenge in the same "I will show you" manner that has been the signature of CDMA since birth?

Is that possibly why Q is bidding in two fronts for spectrum, with the consortium in Korea and as 3G Investments in Australia?

Look at this old presentation below:

via.com.tw

Could the best of Q, omnitracs, G* and Q ventures ideas be combined to provide the leading edge wireless applications that the world has yet to experience?

With their own spectrum, Q may not be constantly at the mercy of other carriers and their no vision CEOs. Australia seems to be an ideal place to test out new concepts.

Spinco will happen before the end of the year. That will rid Q of any potential conflict with chip sale to competitors.

Any comments?

Ramsey
