Mark, I have not been following Directional on this SWC in the past. Looking at it now my numbers are the same, and I am reading a bullish pattern, as you have described. I have added it to the SWC chart group.

RSI is converging upward with price. We're still below 70 (at about 66 now). My read on RSI is neutral. RSI may have something to say very soon if this trend keeps up (likely at about $30 perhaps we may see divergence or bearish 70 crossover??? Just thinking out loud.<G>)

Ult.Osc. continues uptrend with price, but has failed to reach some previous significant highs, whereas price has surpassed corrasponding highs. Some may read this as bearish. I'm neutral on this one as well, mainly because I use this oscillator as a price divergence indicator at price peaks and dips. I have had good luck with it for entry an exits in a number of trades.

Check out the candles for the last 6 periods. Bears beat the price down and by Tuesday they had run out of steam, Wednsday opened down and closed way up. Thursday we had a hanging-man doji, with Friday opening strong with a long white candle for the day. The Easterners (a big consumor of platinum) will see this as a bullish pattern. Granted it is the platinum prices that have caused this, it still reflects in the chart demanding furthur study. Monday should be a good day.

I integrated the U.Osc alert into a new system test. The results were better than expected. I have not used the test feature of WoW in the past because it was to static in nature. Maybe if I can tweak the existing tests and integrate some additional standard indicators such as RSI and U.Osc. it will be usable as a tool for identifying the alerts that work well with the tested security. I hope this does'nt fall under the catagory chart-fitting???? Maybe I should just do it the long way.

PRB

PS:Have you been keeping up with Pan American (silver)?
