Well, a lot of folks made money by selling early last year, and they have deferred their tax payment until now! To some degree, this happens every year. That is why the US Treasury always has a lot of money during the first quarter of the fiscal/calendar year. Even I have this problem. My cousin, who is a CPA, taught me a trick that permitted me to keep money invested throughout the year. I am glad that stock is now down too much or I would be crying now.

I plan to buy some, but I am waiting for now.

BTW, Did you notice that the industry least affected by falling stock prices is liquor? Everyone has fallen, but they fallen least. If you look at that market in a segmented way, I wonder if Mad Dog 20/20 and Thunderbird did better that the firms that produce the produce and sell fine Cognac? Anyway, next time we see a bear coming, sell biotech and buy cheap liquor!
