I use MSIE partly because when I use Netscape, it does not remember the userid and password like MSIE does.

When I tried to explain it on a Netscape FTP forum, I was told it was not under the control of Netscape. But if not, why does it save the info for MSIE, but not Netscape. Is your SI userid/password data saved when you use Netscape, or do you get blank boxes?

P.S. At work, using the NT release of MSIE 3.02, the dialog box comes up with blanks in the two fields, and no "save" checkbox. But since both the OS and the Browser are different from the ones I use at home, I still can't isolate which is at fault.
