ROFL Have you ever been in a slaughterhouse? Any slaughterhouse? I don't need to be in them to know about all the E. Coli recalls. And the E. Coli came from cow shit. Now guess how the shit got in the meat? I've been lucky enough to see film of slaughterhouses. Now that's entertainment. And BTW no one is inspecting each and every slaughterhouse- in fact even the USDA inspected beef wasn't really well inspected- at the rate those carcasses go past the inspectors can spot much of anything- on top of which, microbes and microbial contamination aren't visible. What exactly are you arguing? I don't mind if you eat meat. In fact I urge you to eat lots of it. Eat it raw, eat it cooked. I don't mind a bit. I'm not absolute at all. Another thing it appears YOU are wrong about. This liberal eats meat very well cooked- but rarely. I don't like the idea of eating animals- it's a personal thing. When I eat meat I hate to think of the process involved. If you like to revel in eating other life forms that obviously do not want to be killed- go ahead. I don't understand that kind of disregard- but that's what makes us all so special, isn't it? I don't like to think of the occasional animal that isn't killed when it is supposed to be. Of the animals that break their legs as they are shoved around in the process. I don't like to think of the carcasses ripped apart- and the bowels that get broken and spray feces all over- absolutely true- I don't like that. It's not something I would enforce on you. You can like it- all or in part. You want to make beef lovin' a personal crusade I suggest you do it with someone else who is actually more against beef than I am. I am sure there are plenty of absolute vegetarians out there. I still eat meat once and a while- it just makes me a bit queasy when I do. I am sure if you read some of them you will get some idea of what the problem might be with beef. Of course I am 100% for all conservatives eating red meat- raw red meat. So I am in no sense an absolutist.
