Allan, I found historical stock price data for free online, unfortunately it's monthly, so I don't know it that's useful to you. The data is set up to be read by statistical software so there's no date in the margin next to the data, but the date the data starts and ends is in the header. You can cut and paste it the data into Excel or whatever you use. I don't know how to assign dates to the data without doing it manually, if anyone does, please let me know. nber.org The CRSP daily data only goes back to 1962. It's put out by the Chicago School of Business, which charges $1000 for the set but I see on google that it's something that universities buy and make available in their libraries. What size monitor does it take to read that chart all at once?
