Yes, the relative strength of the SOX since December has been impressive, but I wouldn't buy it here with your portfolio. -g

You must note that the SOX turned before the NASDAQ in general and then from the September decline into the initial low on the SOX in late November (which has held), the SOX declined 55% while the NASDAQ composite fell only 40% during this time. In other words, the SOX fell about 37% further than the composite as a whole.

Now, since then the composite has only caught up to the SOX, falling to 1890, which, funny enough, happens to be 55% since the turn in September -- exactly the same as the SOX.

Their corrective structures differ, which only means they dance to a different beat, not that the music is any different.
