You misunderstood my question, Zeev. I was asking what you thought about the notion of a minimum holding period for a security to reduce volatility and speculation. This would be similar to the way that European options are traded. When a euro style option is written it can not be bought back until the last day of the contract life. Thus the use of such options contracts is truly for hedging purposes, rather than leverage.
