Dan, et al,

FWIW, I didn't find anything is Barron's this week concerning PMs except the following note in the Commodities Corner: "Plunging equity markets not only failed to benefit gold but actually hurt it. Spot bullion lost $14 to end the week at $258.75 an ounce amid worries that eroding wealth will curb demand". Epstein again devoted most of his Economic Beat Column to supporting his view that we are not headed for a recession, at least in the near term.

The GMI/POG ratio too a hit this past week:

On 3/15, the Barron's GMI was 290.28, down significantly from the previous week's value of 321.99. With the POG up to 260.70 (3/16), the ratio was down to 111. However, the ratio continued higher than a year previously, when it was 1.08.

Cheers,
Larry
