Many people believed in demographics, Dent stuff, market goes up until 2008.

Theory was widely disseminated, thus it was factored in by market and contributed to mania.

7 years is a blip, and many will see retirement threatened/curtailed by this downturn.

I don't know what magic number is (i.e. percent asset erosion) but if we hit it, selling will accelerate in a positive feedback loop.

Baby boomers will not want a penurious existence, and that is what looms if decline continues
