Lehman on Noble Drilling today:

Middle East
The rigs Noble George McLeod (300IC), Noble Gus Androes (300IC), and Noble
Chuck Synring (250IC) have all been signed for year long contracts in Qatar
at $50,000 to $54,000 per day. The rigs had been idle for most of this
year. The Middle East has been the weakest region worldwide, thus we are
encouraged to see these signings at solid rates.

North Sea
The North Sea continues to be the strongest region outside of the Gulf of
Mexico. The market has reached full capacity, consequently contract
roll-overs have been at solid rate escalations. The Noble George Sauvageau
(300IC) was signed at $70,000 for a hundred-day contract. This is up from
its prior contract of $47,000 per day. We believe this is a new high for
standard jackups within the region. Additionally the company signed the
Noble Kolskaya (330IC) to a year contract in the low $70's.

West Africa
The Noble Ed Noble (250IC) was signed to a one-year contact at $52,000/day.
West Africa continues to improve, however at a slower pace than the North
Sea. Ultimately, as the Nigerian National Oil Company finally begins its
project approval process we believe this region should tighten
significantly.
